The Department of Economics at the University of Peloponnese, Greece, is organizing the 1^st International Workshop in Economics and Finance (IWEF 2007) between 15-16 June 2007. The aim of the workshop is to attract high quality papers from all fields of economics and finance, either theoretical or empirical. You are invited to submit a full paper or extended abstract or a proposal for organizing a session and to participate in the activities of the IWEF 2007.

Extended abstracts of the papers that will be accepted for presentation at the IWEF 2007 will appear in a special proceedings volume and a number of papers, selected after peer-review, will appear in a planned special edited volume. 

If you are interested in participating in the IWEF 2007 please forward a complete paper or extended abstract or your proposal for a session to iwef@uop.gr. Please note that session organizers are responsible for attracting three (3) session participants.

The deadline for submission of papers, abstracts or session proposals is April 25^th 2007. Please note that full papers are welcomed but not required. The registration period for the workshop is February 15^th to May 25^th but papers can be submitted to iwef@uop.gr as of this announcement.
